Statement of faith.

A. The Nature of God

We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal in power and glory, and together are one God. He is the Creator of all things, the Sustainer of all things, and the sovereign Ruler over all.

B. God the Father

We believe in God the Father, an infinite and personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He mercifully involves Himself in the affairs of humanity, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

C. God the Son: Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles and teachings, His substitutionary and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His ongoing intercession for His people. We also believe in His personal and visible return to the earth.

D. God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ.

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer and is our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the operation of all biblical gifts, as expressed through the fruit of the Spirit.

We believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience that may occur either at the time of salvation or subsequent to it. The empowering of the Holy Spirit is essential for bold and effective witness, and its clearest evidence is a transformed and dynamic life.

E. Salvation

We believe that all people are by nature separated from God and are responsible for their own sin. However, salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, apart from works.

When a person repents of sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, they are immediately born again, sealed by the Holy Spirit, forgiven of all sin, and adopted as a child of God, with the assurance of eternal life.

F. Christian Fellowship

We believe the true basis of Christian fellowship is the unconditional love of Christ. This love is greater than any differences among us, and without it, we have no rightful claim to be followers of Christ. We believe the true basis of Christian fellowship is the unconditional love of Christ. This love is greater than any differences among us, and without it, we have no rightful claim to be followers of Christ.

G. Worship

We believe worship should be spiritual, and therefore we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit in how we worship.

We believe worship should be inspirational, and therefore we give a significant place to music in our gatherings.

We believe worship should be intelligent, and therefore we prioritize the teaching of the Word of God so that we may understand how to worship Him rightly.

We believe worship should be fruitful, and therefore we look for the evidence of His love in our lives as the true expression of genuine worship.

H. The Scriptures

We believe that all Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, and the final authority for faith and practice.

I. Ordinances

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ established two ordinances for the Church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

We practice baptism by immersion and observe the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice, open to all believers.

J. Last Things

We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to the earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, the eternal blessing of the righteous, and the everlasting separation from God for the wicked.
